We had the most beautiful drive today. The trip to Coos Bay in Oregon took us about four
hours and it was only 100 miles.
Needless to say, we stopped several times; once for gas to do some grocery shopping and
once to buy some boysenberry jam. The
scenery was just spectacular – beautiful green pine trees on both sides of the
road and for part of the trip the ocean on our left. We are listening to a good book on CD so the
drive was really very pleasant. The
weather is cool. We’ve come to love
spending time every summer in Oregon. It’s
all becoming so familiar.
We’re staying at
another Indian Casino but this time we have hookups so I’m taking full
advantage. I baked brownies and have
been doing laundry all afternoon. We
plan on staying in Coos Bay for two or three days.
